So as promised, here’s the full source list for the newly created office for my One Room Challenge! I’ve linked to everything that I thought people might have questions on and hopefully I’ve covered everything! If not, please do just let me know.

Still cant get over how gorgeous this space is friend. Its just beautiful. Thanks for the sources:)
Thank you so much my darling! Hope you had an amazing birthday! xxx
Every detail is so yummy Kimberly! I am still swooning over your light…I need to nail down my choice on that dining room ASAP. I would never want to leave this room if I were you :) xo
This space is absolutely amazing! All the details, right down to the office supplies are so chic–love it!
Hi Kimberly, I’m a long time reader but have never commented before… I love the flooring in this room and am planning to do something similar myself. Could you tell me where you sourced your floorboards and also which stain/finish you used? Keep up the swoon worthy-ness! Daniel.
Hi Daniel, thanks so much for reading and for your kind comment! And I’m thrilled you decided to come out of ‘lurkdom’ to ask a question :D
The floor boards are from Wickes, they come in a few different lengths:
http://www.wickes.co.uk/Products/Building-Materials/Timber/Timber-Floorboards/c/1000206
And we finished them with 3 coats of Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varish in ‘Dark Oak’:

And 2 coats of Bona Mega Silk Clear Coat on top of that:
https://www.bona.com/en-GB/United-Kingdom/BonaSystem/Coatings1/Finishes/Bona-Mega12/
We did exactly the same for our living room about 5 years ago and the floors still look great!
Hope that helps and good luck with your project :)

Wow – thank you so much for your reply. That is incredibly helpful. I was thinking about buying the floorboards from Wickes so that is reassuring – think I know how I’ll be spending the bank holiday weekend now! Thanks again.
Haha! Sounds like a very productive Bank Holiday! Oh one more thing – it’s really important to follow the instructions on the tins as well! So as impatient as you’ll be to put the room back together, make sure you wait as long as possible after the Bona Mega because you really need to let it cure as long as possible :) Have fun! xx
Thanks for the tip! One final question if I may – did you have to hire a sander and sand the floorboards before varnishing? Or were they already smooth enough? No more questions after this one – I promise
Happily, the floorboards come ready for finishing. I think we gave the living room ones a light hand sand but I can’t remember if we did it for these – you certainly don’t need to hire a sander though. Oh one more thing Wayne reminded me of – make sure you use the correct nails for putting the floorboard down. They are called ‘cut clasp nails’ and are self countersinking :) No worries, happy to help! (And now I’m going to want pictures when it’s done! Ha!) xx
Love it!
Where’s the wallpaper from?
Hi Kimberly,
I love the hanging chair, can you tell me what it’s like to sit in, is it comfy? Do you use it alot? I have been thinking about getting one myself for my living room as a possible reading chair but not sure how comfy it would be to sit on with it being an outdoor chair.
Thanks
Gx
Hi Gemma, so full disclosure, I actually recently sold it! I didn’t sit in it very often as it’s not the kind of chair you could really get cosy on if that makes sense. It was nice to sit in for a short time because the feeling of being suspended is quite relaxing but I wouldn’t have said it was ‘comfortable’ ;) That said, it did look really pretty and I was actually quite sorry to see it go. Hope that helps a bit! xxx
Hi, I have just discovered this post and I absolutely LOVE everything about this room you have created. I am thinking of stealing your idea of getting a shelving unit from IKEA and spray paint it. How many cans did you use? Many thanks, Fen
Oh that’s so kind of you Fen! Thanks so much. I think I used 2 cans for one unit! Hope that helps :) x
Thank you for your prompt response xx
