I normally like to do these posts at the very start of the month but with lots happening at Swoon Worthy HQ, it didn’t quite happen like that! So I’m going to chat about the last 6 weeks (!) although I’d prefer this to not get too long and unwieldy. I know I have a tendency for really long posts so I’m going to do my best to keep things a little more brief which for me, a natural talker, is a little challenging to say the least!
Over the last month, there was a fab little trip to Edinburgh, I got to go to the Amara Awards ceremony and over the past week, I helped AO out with a little Christmas drinks party for bloggers and journalists where I styled a pretty tablescape and got to hang out with Flora from The Great British Bake Off (who, by the way, is just as sweet and down to earth in person as she was on the telly) – it’s been a fun month!
This past month, there were a few places Swoon Worthy was featured which I’m always super grateful for! I just want to say thank you to these sites and give them a little shout out really quickly…
It was clearly the month for lists and I was grateful to receive a spot in each of these Top lists which was kind of crazy!! I was in excellent company here so if you are looking for a few new blogs to read you should definitely check these out!
- Prohibition PR named Swoon Worthy in a list of 25 Top Interior Blogs
- Plumbworld included Swoon Worthy in a list of 100 Interior Design Blogs You Must Read
- The Farthing included Swoon Worthy in a list of 21 UK Interior Design Blogs You Should Be Reading
- Madam Noire included Swoon Worthy in a list of 15 Interior Design Blogs We Love
I was also rather thrilled that my images were used in two articles around wallpaper – one on the Everygirl (my first time appearing there! Whoop!) in an article called 6 Fresh Ways to Decorate with Wallpaper and one on Apartment Therapy (which, for some reason, had escaped my notice so this one is a little older) on 7 Unexpected Ways to Use Wallpaper.
And finally, I was also featured in Amara’s roundup on Dulux’s Colour of the Year, Cherished Gold. Lots of different bloggers and interior designers weighing in on how to use the colour of the year in your home.
I also shared a few tips for Glam EntertainingΒ in conjunction with my sale over on Wayfair so check that out too if you like a little sparkle with your Christmas.
Because I’m a little late with this post, I figured I’d keep it brief with just links and some images so you don’t have loads of text to read through and if something catches your eye, you can just click on it. No, of course, I wouldn’t expect anyone to read every single article unless you have a few hours to kill but perhaps a few may catch your eye!
Ya see, I produce a certain number of articles for each client each month but that doesn’t always mean everything is published immediately – in fact, one of my clients were working on some internal changes and so because there was a bit of a gap in the posting schedule, a LOT of my backlogged articles got published in the last 6 weeks. So yeah, I share it with you once it’s published which could mean it’s the month after it was written so all that just to say I didn’t write ALL of these THIS month. Does that make sense? I have no idea why I felt the need to explain that. I told you I talk too much.
Also, instead of dividing this up by client, I’m going to divide it by subject matter. I think it makes more sense!

Hiya kimberley, i love how you’ve done today ‘s post, it’s now easier for me to read what you’ve been up to, i struggle sometimes visiting some sites (i’m really crap with computers, no confidence with them) so thanks for that. I’ve just come back from a short break in Tenerife, so i am a bit behind with everything at the moment , Christmas is coming too fast lol but its my favourite time of year, and your Christmas table was gorgeous. As for this weekend, i’m off, i can’t remember the last time that happened lol. Now wheres my list for Keith ?? xxx
Oh I’m happy you liked the layout! I’ll probably do this from now on as these posts started to get WAY too long! ;) Oh Tenerife sounds wonderful, hope you got some sunshine and R&R! Hahaha – poor Keith, hope he’s ready for the list ;) xx
Wow, I’m kind of in awe of how much you get done, on top of the blog! Christmas lights are being turned on here on Sunday so we’ll be going to that, I think then I might be ready to start feeling Christmassy (totally a word!) ;)
Haha! Well, this is my job so I doubt I do any more than anyone else ;) And yay for Christmas lights! I think with all the Christmas stuff I’ve been doing, I’m ready now :D xxx
This is my favourite bit: “I have no idea why I felt the need to explain that. I told you I talk too much.”
*snicker*
LOL! ;) :* xxx
Great post. I am happy for all the recognition you have gotten from your peers and fans. Well deserved. As far as Christmas spirit it’s in its infant stage. I did pick up Ikea’ s Becvam step stool yesterday to hack into a toddler learning tower. So I have that fun project to do. And unfortunately need to sit in the beauticians chair for a couple of hours. Hoping that gets me through to Christmas. At least I can catch up on your articles then. The fun never ends over here!
Aww thanks Nadine!! A fun DIY and getting your hair done actually sounds like a rather nice weekend to me ;) Enjoy!! xx
You are superwoman!!!
Hahaha! Not really, I’m sure I do as much as anyone else in a full time job ;) xx
Holy actual balls Kimberly! You’ve been very busy, regardless of it all coming out in the past 6 weeks! I’m still so jealous of you meeting Flora, and you being featured on The Every Girl – DAMN GURL! :D I love your article on pet proofing your home (which is totally doable as you say and you don’t need to sacrifice style to do it). However, I don’t think I’m completely sold on Pantone’s 2016 colour of the year – I’ve lived in too many rentals that had that colour on every single wall, so when I see it on a wall, I get sick in my mouth a little. But when it’s used on furniture and accessories as in the example photos you gave, it looks really good. And before I forget, girl, you on those top blog lists because you killing it! :P xx
