Now you know I’m a fan of IKEA. I may not have what you’d consider a Scandi-inspired home by any means but I’ve always loved IKEA’s ability to create products that can work in any decor. One of my most popular posts is My Favourite IKEA Hacks In My Home so it stands to reason that you guys like a bit of IKEA too.
And so, when I saw the latest news from IKEA that they’d launched some new products, I knew I had to share them here with you. The Midnight Tropics range for AW17 pretty much blew me away – how in the world is this IKEA?! I think for years, you always could spot an IKEA piece a mile away but lately, they’ve created some incredible products lines as well as collaborations that really tap into that ethos of simply great design at an affordable price point.
A particular favourite is the SNOFSA clock which looks far more luxurious than its Β£12 price tag. The black pleated face and gold body and arms gives it such a wonderfully edgy design.Β It’s definitely on my wishlist for our bedroom.
I’m also rather loving the TILLSYN hour glass. This would be perfect to add a bit of height to a coffee table or set on a desk.
IKEA has also introduced a number of products for August, including a gorgeous set of gold cutlery that is dishwasher safe! Amazing! A set of 24 pieces is priced at Β£40, an incredible value for a 6 piece place setting.
Oh and that beautifulΒ BEGΓ VNING glass dome with a gold base? Just Β£6.95.
Speaking of table settings, this delicious black dinnerware set is rather beautiful as well, perfectly setting a moody display for your next dinner party. The BATIK dishes start at just Β£1.50 for the bowls and side plates with the plates between Β£4 toΒ Β£4.50. Incredibly, these dishes haveΒ been made partlyΒ of glass from IKEA factory scraps that have been meltedΒ down and had liquid pigment added. Pretty awesome way of reducing waste, IKEA!
The MYRHEDEN frame, at just Β£12, is the perfect addition to an office, entryway or kitchen. There are twelve hooks on this gold plated beauty for displaying favourite pictures or postcards and on the bottom are hooks for everything from scissors to keys.
Moody florals are always in style in the coldest months and the gorgeous PRISTELLA tray takes its cues from vintage floral design. It’s only Β£5.25.
If it’s moody lighting you want, IKEA delivers. I adore the styling of the MAJORNAΒ floor and table lamps here which are sculpted in double layers ofΒ high-grade paper applied by hand on a sturdy metal construction.Β Thanks to the double layers, a three-dimensionalΒ effect is achieved – and a warm, magical glow. The smaller table lamp is just Β£9 and the floor lamp is Β£25. That’s a lot of lamp for such a small price tag.
And finally, I can’t help but wonder if IKEA saw the beauty in what Superfronts is doing because it’s BESTA sideboard has just got a lot sexier with a host of door front combinations for a stunning storage graphic piece.
So those are my just some of my picks of the new items available now at IKEA. Which are your favourites?
This is not a sponsored post – I just wanted to share!
I’m going to have to have another trip to IKEA to have a look at these! These new products look fab – they just get better and better x

OH MY GOD!!!! I actually cannot wait to visit IKEA now … Oh god they are so on the mark with all the dark and the gold and the lush.
Is this available in IKEA Malaysia?
People can be sniffy about ikea but for me they constantly challenge what was traditionally “ikea” and are looking for new and bold directions. I love it. That little clock is fab.
How did you get the PRISTELLA wallpaper/backdrop?
