As you probably know by now, we have sold our beloved home on the outskirts of Manchester and are currently looking for a new home. While we haven’t yet secured another house as of writing this post, we hope to do so soon. I wanted to film an entire house tour for a long time and it’s been something that’s been requested for a long time but the truth was, the house was never fully done to share the whole thing. Well, finally, now it is. And so I thought a video that walked through the entire house was a great way to show it off one last time before we moved out!
The video was filmed by Simon of iViewProperty on behalf of Mitchell Williams who was our estate agent for selling our house. I genuinely believe that the video tour was one of the reasons that the house sold so quickly as it was included on our listing and so people were able to get a good feel for the house before they viewed it. They’ve given me kind permission to use the video so you guys could see it too!
Anyway, for those of you who are unfamiliar with a typical Edwardian semi-detached house (they are pretty common here in England!), I think it’s a great way to really see how we used the space and you can get a much better feel than what I can share in pictures over the years. And for everyone else, well, I hope you enjoy it!
What I would have liked our garden to look like when we filmed but this was at the height of summer!
I will apologise for the state of the garden too as it was filmed in November so we’d already packed up the garden ready for winter so it’s basically a bit bare but well, you can still get an idea of what it is like! Also, you might just spot a barking dog at the kitchen window! Quito wasn’t all that impressed with a stranger wandering around his castle ;)
Keep your fingers crossed that we find a new project soon as we’ll be having a lot of fun in 2018 with a brand new home to put our stamp on. In the meantime, what do you think of the video tour? Was the house layout as you expected? Were the rooms smaller (or bigger) than you imagined? I’d love to know what you think!

It all looks gorgeous K, no wonder it sold so quickly!
I enjoyed the video. Although I had a general idea of how the house was laid out, having lived in and visited Edwardian houses, it was nice to see it as you would walking through. A shame that with nearly 300 views, nobody had ‘liked’ it. You do have one ‘like’ now!
I only discovered your blog recently, whilst looking for inspiration for my living room redecoration, and have really enjoyed it.
Good luck with finding a new home, and enjoy making it your own.
Gorgeous – and the floors look great!
Absolutely gorgeous!
It’s a bit cozier than I imagined. I’ve seen most of the rooms multiple times, but not your dressing room or the downstairs den! Have you posted them before? I wish I could have you for just one day to help me with my interiors, alas. I really admire your control over your maximalism. You go right to the edge and the results are gorgeous. I learn a lot from you but wish I could make daring choices like your living room wallpaper and curtains. P.S. I wish I could have seen those infamous wardrobes in your bedrooms after all your agony over them.
It’s not that big of a house really – well, I suppose it depends on who you ask! LOL! For an American, it would be pretty small, for the British, it’s pretty average! I have shared both the dressing room and the ‘glam cave’ as I call it although it’s been a while since I shared the dressing room as it was done so long ago! Here ya go ;)

And thank you so much for your kind comments, that means a lot to me! Mwah! xx
You are my #1 favorite blogger and I love to see your posts pop up in my inbox. Your talent is phenomenal and I am amazed you won’t call yourself an interior designer! Have you considered offering personalized tips a la “design delimmas”? I supposed that would be opening a whole new pandora’s box for you, given that you’re so busy with your blog. I know that I have learned from your partnering of contrasts — opposite colors, metal mixing. I myself have just completed a bedroom with grays and golds with hits of distressed wood. Would you consider a space on your blog for your readers to upload their own designs, with the caveat that you wouldn’t respond to each but would be for the simple act of sharing with you, as you share with us? Could be a takeoff of a focus of yours —
wallpaper, shelves, chairs and sofas, color mixing. I ramble. Maybe a “share day” every once in a while? Congratulations on all the kudos you’ve received. You deserve it.
Aww you are too sweet! Thank you SO much, that’s so nice of you! As for your suggestions, thanks for them too – I will have a think! ;) xx
What a fantastic video tour! Your home looks beautiful.
Ooohhhh! What a great treat thank you Kimberly!
I have followed along with all of your room makeovers, so it was nice to see the whole tour. Gorgeous. Good luck on finding a new home.
Fabulous! It’s no wonder you sold it so quick. And what a lovely reminder to have when you’ve moved out. I love it. x
So much love for this, and a lovely way to say goodbye to your beautiful home which for anyone reading I can confirm is as gorgeous in person as it is online!
Are you getting emotional about leaving it yet? xxx
Aww thank you! I don’t think I am just yet as I don’t think the fact that we’re ACTUALLY moving has sunk in yet! Ask me again once we start packing – I’ll probably be a wreck!! LOL! xx
The layout of our houses is so similar. We don’t have the cellar space though, and of course ours now has the loft conversion, but strikingly similar. Great video too, and well done on the sale. x
Really lovely to see a walkthrough tour like this, and of course there is no surprise about it selling so quickly! You made it such a gorgeous home and used the spaces so well. This video is a lovely keepsake of the home that made you ;-) Hope you find another home very soon, I’ll be so excited to follow your next chapter! xxx
Video tours are so useful as they really help to add a bit of perspective that can sometimes be lacking from just photos. I really wasn’t surprised at all that your home sold so quickly. It blows all other homes on the property portals right out of the water. Good luck finding your new project! Can’t wait to follow along that journey and see where it takes you.
So fun to see the space. Looking forward to seeing what you do in your new place. Bet itβll be beautiful too.
Stunning Gorgeous !!!! Puppy dog at the door Beautiful & Precious & So Happy !!!! Thanks for sharing….
What a clever video. No need to apologise about the state of the garden, it looks absolutely fine, you should see the state of mine! Looking forward to seeing what you do with your next place xx
Love this! Had seen all the rooms before in previous blog posts but it was nice to see how they all worked within the layout of the house. Can’t wait to see what you do in your next home! X
Such a great idea to do a video tour, it really shows off the house. Looking fab
So cool to see a walk through of your beautiful home! Thanks for sharing!
Don’t ask me why but seeing your home like this makes me as a reader appreciate how much hard work and love you and Wayne have put into this house, it’s stunning. The bed room is my favourite it’s amazing. When you look at other peoples home they can look gorgeous down stairs but hardly any look that good in the bedroom where yours look like you’ve taken the same amount of time in there as you have done downstairs. Nice one Kimberly I love it xxx
What a seamless video tour. It’s interesting to see all the rooms put together. And poor Quito locked outside, haha. By the way, may I ask if you filmed the tour with a special camera?
